"Nanjing" brand cigarettes were first born in Nanjing "Guangming Brothers Tobacco Factory" during the Republic of China. In 1956, the public-private partnership Qinfeng Tobacco Factory produced "Nanjing" as the second generation. The brand is in flexible packaging, with a large red bottom with a yellow line wavy pattern, and the main pattern is a round logo designed with the word "Nanjing". The mixed use of the Yangtze River and place names officially began in this generation and established the local color of the brand. In 1968, the state-owned Nanjing Cigarette Factory launched the third generation after the completion and opening of the Yangtze River Bridge. In 1982, the fourth generation was improved. The industry-renowned brand that is truly widely accepted and recognized by the market belongs to the fifth generation of the "Nanjing" brand launched by Nanjing Cigarette Factory in the nineties.
